What was your motivation? What inspired you to keep going, even when you wanted to give up? My motivation was my kids and me. As I’ve gotten older, I’ve realized that it’s harder to get the weight off. After being on vacation this summer, I knew I wanted to be healthier, look better and feel better in my clothes.

I saw a former co-worker who worked with Terry Starks, and that was my confirmation that it was time. So, I began working with Terry Starks.

How did you change your eating habits? I eat five small meals a day. 1-2 of those meals are salads, grilled chicken, ground turkey, steamed veggies, and fruits. So I have at least four servings of fruits and veggies a day. Also, I stopped drinking sodas and drinks with a lot of sugar and fried foods.

How often did you work out? I work out seven days a week.

What is your workout routine? I do cardio at least once a day (usually twice a day) for at least 30 minutes each time.

What was your starting weight? What is your current weight? My starting weight was 191 pounds, and my current weight is 169 pounds.

What is your height? I’m 5ft, 6in tall.

When did you start your journey? Nov 7

Is weight loss surgery part of your journey? No.

What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned so far? Consistency and determination are key. You have to mentally be ready to make the transformation. Also, it’s a lifestyle change and not just a quick diet fix.

What advice do you have for women who want to lose weight? Be prepared mentally and start today, even if it’s 15 minutes of cardio. Just start and work your way up to 30 minutes. Then you can keep progressing. Stay focused and stay consistent. Also, meal prep for the week because it keeps you on track.
