Ever since childhood, I knew the world wasn’t ready for my large feet. As a teen, I maintained a steady US women’s 12-13, which most stores didn’t carry, leaving me to shop for shoes in the men’s section. Then, the moment more brands did start carrying a women’s 13, my foot grew to what it is now a US women’s 14 in flats and 15 in heels—two sizes still hard to find in shoe stores.

Now, one could say that I should just try to squeeze into a size 13 shoe, but I’m not going to give myself foot problems for fashion. According to OrthoInfo (which is supported by the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons), “women especially are more likely to purchase a shoe that is too small, putting them at risk for corns, bunions, and other deformities that may require surgery to correct.” No thanks!

Fortunately, more and more stores have recently expanded their shoe options, giving me, and fellow members of the #BigFootClub, more options to choose from. They’re not just sneakers, either—below is a list of size-inclusive shoe stores where I get my own heels, boots, sandals, and other traditionally feminine styles from. Scroll to find your sole-mate.

7 stores that carry women’s shoes for large feet

2. Naot

Naot, founded in Israel, creates footwear that contours to the wearer’s foot. Cork and latex are found within the footbeds of each shoe to provide shock absorption, while a range of upper designs make each pair functional for your wardrobe. The brand offers a number of designs, from slides to sneakers. Under the extended-sizes portion of the site, most sizes go up to a US women’s 12 (starting at a size 4) with most of the sandal sizes going up to a 13.

Naot, Krista Sandal — $150.00

Krista is the type of sandal you bring with you on vacation. Whether it’s for stomping around the theme park, taking a stroll on the beach, or going out for drinks at the hotel bar, these shoes are designed to support your foot through it all. The Okahu slip-on sneaker is accepted by the American Podiatric Medical Association for, “prompting good foot health,” according to the product page. The toe-loop allows for easy on and off, too.

Sadi Studios creates shoes for all people looking for feminine silhouettes in their size. From boots to strappy flats, they’re, “conceptualized in Seoul, developed in London, (and) established in Los Angeles,” per the site. Currently, the brand shoes in US women’s sizes 5-16.

Sadi Studios, Haru Boot — $299.00

The Haru (which means “day”) is aptly named so because of its sleek design that can be worn with almost any outfit. The boot features a cushioned half-inch platform goring between panels of nubuck leather, and an oval heel that offers more support than a traditional stiletto. The black colorway is made of a smooth leather, while the tan color is made of a sueded leather.

4. Otto + Ivy

Britain-based brand Otto and Ivy caters to those in search of classic styles but in larger sizes. The store offers a range of styles: mules, slides, sandals, pumps, flats, and boots. From the time I first purchased shoes from the brand I’ve noticed (via Instagram) that Otto and Ivy takes consumer feedback seriously in how it expands on designs and sizing. That being said, while all styles are available in EU sizes 42 through 46, select silhouettes come in medium and wide widths.

Otto+Ivy, Rosie Flat — $91.00

Available sizes: EU W 42-46 in medium and wide widths.

Otto and Ivy’s Rosie shoe are a pair of flats that have personality. The particular pair boast a smooth golden body with a pink suede heart-shaped upper.

Otto+Ivy, Annabelle Court Heel — $111.00

Available sizes: EU W 42-46 in medium and wide widths.

When I first laid eyes on the Annabelle Court, I immediately thought of the Amina Muaddi and Tory Burch shoes that have a bold broach on the upper of the pump. With an outer made of an emerald green satin that are lined with leather, these 3.5-inch pumps are the perfect statement to a monochrome look.

Otto+Ivy, Tilly Boot — $152.00

Available sizes: EU W 42-26

The first shoe I ever bought from the brand is the Tilly boot, only I have the black pair (classic New Yorker, I know). With a western-inspired look, an under 2-inch heel, and gold accents, this boot can be both an everyday pair of shoes and a statement piece depending on how you style them.

Dolce Vita’s Zina Sneakers are far from the traditionally masculine tennis shoes. Each pair of the Zina sneakers mix complementary colors with a neutral base to create a sneaker that can literally be paired with anything in your closet. This tennis shoe is available in 17 colors with select colors available in the full size range (up to a 15)—the others go up to a size 13.

Colors: 17

Dolce Vita, Paily Heels — $125.00

Available size: US W 5-15, in half sizes.

The Paily Heels are the first pair of shoes I’ve ever bought from Dolce Vita. Seeing the pitch on this 3.2-inch heel, I thought the ball of my foot would suffer under pressure. But, to my surprise, these shoes are incredibly comfortable to wear. With branded bands over the top and arch of the foot, these slides weave into anyone’s wardrobe. This style is available from sizes five through 13 and in select colors, up to a size 15.

Colors: 11

Dolce Vita, Huey H2O Boots — $140.00

Available sizes: US W 6-13, in half sizes.

Yes, the Huey H20 Boots are rain boots! Along with being waterproof, the shoe has a touch of height with its 2.3-inch heel that’s a cross between a lug boot sole and a wedge. The only downside to this boot is that all eight colors are only available up to a size 13.

Syro, Kitten Disco Boots — $320.00

Available sizes: US M 8-14

These dazzling Kitten Disco platforms are a moment and at the top of my wishlist! Adorned with sequins, these 6-inch platform shoes are like wearing disco balls. With a side-zip and goring beside the zipper, these shoes will keep your ankles in place so that you feel secure with each step.

Syro, TR Black Boots — $290.00

The TR Black boots are for the person that loves a good staple. With a calf leather upper and all-rubber outsole, these are shoes you throw on when you want to take your confident strides in style. Plus-sized brand, Fashion to Figure, has a shoe selection for the stylish person who wants to wear modern footwear without the luxury price. From flats to over-the-knee boots, the brand offers wide-width and wide-calf shoes for people who wear shoe sizes US women’s 7-14.

Fashion to Figure, Hayya Snake Print Thigh-High Boots — $60.00

Honorable Mention: Steve Madden

Steve Madden is the one men’s section I know I can turn to for shoe designs that range from “traditionally masculine” to disrupting gender norms, with sky-high platforms and steeper heels alike. The brand also tends to offer on-trend styles as well as classic silhouettes so that there’s something for everyone. In the men’s section, all shoes are available from sizes US men’s six to 15.

Steve Madden, Quantum Black Sneakers — $150.00

Available sizes: US M 6-15

The accents on Steve Madden’s Quantum Black sneaker gives off a reflection similar to aurora borealis stones in bright light. The shiny and chunky outsole, matte midsole, and metallic tones combine to give what would be a regular black sneaker a stylish upgrade.

Steve Madden, Zylo Black Box Sneakers — $130.00

Available sizes: US M 6-15

It’s no secret that loafers have been everywhere, but finding loafers that are available in large sizes and have a chunky sole have been hard to come by. Thankfully, there’s these. Featuring a patent-leather outer and a golden chain over the top of the foot, they’re a trendy-yet-classic shoe those of us with large feet can wear, too.
