Transformation of the Day: Nikia lost 60 pounds. She is a talented celebrity makeup artist and mother of two. We’ve been following her journey since 2021 (she was down 44 pounds at the time), and she wrote in to update us on how she has continued to get results.
What was your motivation?
My motivation is seeing myself where I started compared to where I am now.
What inspired you to keep going, even when you wanted to give up?
My inspiration to keep going is knowing how I motivate other women.
When did you start your journey?
Which time??? This is a never-ending journey that I have fallen off and on for 20 years.
After losing weight, I had a breast reduction and tummy tuck in 2021, and I will be the first to say I’TS NOT AN EASY FIX. The weight comes back FAST. I gained weight after surgery.
How long did your most recent transformation take?
How did you change your eating habits?
I started eating less starch. Also, Coke Cola is my WEAKNESS, and I was drinking about three a day. Now I drink about two a week.
What is your workout routine?
I love cardio, but it’s actually not helping with weight loss at this point. I’ve plateaued. So now I’m doing weight training.
How often did you work out?
I work out five days a week.
What was your starting weight? What is your current weight?
My starting weight was 264 pounds, and my current weight is 204-211 pounds.

What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned so far?
Even when I fall off, I can get back on track.
What advice do you have for women who want to lose weight?
Do it! Also, get a legit accountability partner.
