Delisha lost 23 pounds | Black Weight Loss Success

Transformation of the Day: Delisha lost 23 pounds. Part of her motivation was avoiding a family historyof preventable diseases. She got results by focusing on exercise and nutrition with guidance from an online training program. Although she’s not done with her journey yet, she is celebrating her progress now.

What was your motivation?  
My motivation was my health. All of my elders in my immediate family are deceased due to preventable diseases. I REFUSE for that to be my outcome. Before starting the program, I was extremely overweight and in a lot of pain as I have arthritis. 

Not feeling sexy and confident in my clothing was also part of my motivation. I REMEMBERED who I was before the weight gain and arthritis. I wanted to get back to that and BETTER!  

What inspired you to keep going?
What truly inspired me was ME! I was tired of looking at myself naked and NOT liking what I saw. I just kept asking myself, “How long are you going to be tired before you do something about it?” I also wanted to start this journey with Fitness on Fire because FOF has visible proven RESULTS!

How did you change your eating habits?  
I followed the nutrition plan from my online Nutritionist, @Nutritionistguru. This plan is super easy to follow cause I still was able to eat foods I like and not feel limited. I eat meals frequently and stopped eating late. Food was my comfort before going to sleep/bed.

I avoided the foods that the Nutritionistguru explained were hindering me from seeing progress. I followed the structure of the Fitness on Fire Online Training program. I stopped eating foods that were high in sugar and fat. I was truly surprised at how much sugar and fat I was eating. My Nutritionist has taught me a lot and how to have a good relationship with food. 

Tell us about your workout routine.
I attend the gym between 5 to 6 days a week. I followed the workout regimen given to me by my online trainer, “King of the Fire.” The workouts are geared towards helping me reach my goal body, not a number on the scale. 

How long did your transformation take? 
My current transformation took two months. I started to see results about a month into the program. I’m not done yet, as I have more progress to make. This is just the first phase of my journey, and it inspires me to keep going. I will show how my body is progressing during my journey. 

What advice do you have for others who want to lose weight? 
Like Nike says, “JUST DO IT!” Don’t overthink it! You truly owe yourself to be the best version of yourself. Weight won’t be the only thing you lose! Although I haven’t reached my ultimate goal, I feel better about myself, and my confidence has improved. 

Fitness on Fire works for me because I can eat foods I actually enjoy! I’m learning how and what to eat on my own. Other programs were so restrictive, and I couldn’t eat the foods I liked. 

This isn’t a cookie-cutter program. It is tailored for each person because each person is different, with different goals and likes. Fitness on Fire also holds me accountable! I truly love that Nutritionist Guru makes herself available to answer any and all of my questions with no judgment! She has become the voice of reasoning in my head! LOL!
