Transformation of the Day: D’Andrea lost 32 pounds with healthier eating habits and exercise. She was getting bored with her workout routine until she discovered XtremeHipHop. Now she’s an instructor.
When did you start your journey?
I started my weight loss journey in 2020.
What was your motivation?
My motivation to start was that I got tired of feeling sluggish every day, and I truly wanted to be healthy. I was getting bored with certain workouts until I found my love for XtremeHipHop. It is a step aerobics class that literally changed my life. I started doing Phillip Weeden‘s online classes during the pandemic and never stopped. Now I am an XtremeHipHop Instructor. I love helping other people change their lives.
How did you change your eating habits?
My eating habits changed when I stopped eating late at night and put down processed foods. I often cook, but I eat out on weekends or special occasions.
How often do you work out?
I work out 4-5 times a week. I step each one of those days and lift weights 2-3 times a week.
What was your starting weight? What is your current weight?
My starting weight was 188 pounds, and my current weight is 156 pounds.
Is weight loss surgery part of your journey?
My journey has been all-natural. No surgery, just hard work, and dedication with love.
What advice would you like to share with women who want to lose weight?
My biggest advice to women is to find a workout they enjoy and start small. The small steps turn into many great steps with consistency. Also, be patient with yourself. Results take time, but it is WORTH IT!
