Britney lost 100+ pounds | Black Weight Loss Success

Transformation of the Day: Britney lost 100+ pounds. This proud mom simply wanted to be a healthier version of herself for her child. During her self-love journey, she made working out every day a priority and found a healthy eating routine that works for her.

What was your motivation?
I wanted to look better, feel better, and be a healthier version of myself for my kid. Weight loss was definitely part of my self-love journey because it was impacting so much of my confidence.

How did you change your eating habits?
Intermittent fasting. I have coffee with creamer in the mornings and water. I eat between 2 pm and 7/8 pm. I don’t follow a strict diet, but I pretty much cut sodas and juice and made healthier swaps.

What did your workout routine consist of? How often did you work out?
The key really is consistency. I work out every day, with very few days off. I started by cycling five miles per day (on a recumbent bike). Later, with time, I increased to biking 10 miles per day. I also do 20-30 minutes of HIIT Cardio daily, and I go on one-mile walks three times a week. I have been working out every day since October 2020. (I do not have a trainer. I don’t even have a gym membership.)

What was your starting weight? What is your current weight?
My highest weight in March 2020: 311 pounds
October 2020: 278 pounds
My current weight: 179 pounds as of July 2021

What is your height?
I’m 5’2″.

Is weight loss surgery part of your journey?
I did not have any work/surgery done.

What’s the biggest lesson you’ve learned so far?
The biggest lesson is probably that I’m worth the investment. Whether it’s buying the equipment to get started or waking up earlier to make time to work out, it’s truly an investment into yourself and you have to decide if you’re worth it. I decided I’m worth it.

What advice would you like to share with women who want to lose weight?
My advice to anyone wanting to lose weight: Stay consistent and do not give up on yourself. Love yourself through the journey and shower yourself with gifts every step of the way. It helps to be intrinsically motivated and doing it for yourself!

Please take pictures of yourself and look at them along the way because it helps, especially when you don’t feel your best. Photos can be a needed reminder of all your hard work. I also journaled and wrote notes to myself, literally gassing myself and jotting down quotes and compliments I’d get from other people.
