FLASH United States Set WJR In Men’s 4x100m Freestyle Relay At World Junior Championships

A second leg of 47.78 by Maximus Williamson helped guide the USA to a WJR of 3:15.49 in the men’s 4x100m freestyle relay at the World Junior Championships in Netanya, Israel.

Williamson’s time was the fastest in the entire field and the only one to hit 47 with three men going 48.

The quartet sliced 0.30 from the previous WJR of 3:15.79 set by a USA team in Honolulu in 2022.






It was also a CR, slicing 0.31 from the 3:15.80 from the World Junior Championships in Budapest 2019, also by the US.

49.93: Daniel Diehl

47.78: Maximus Williamson

49.14: Hudson Williams

48.64: Jason Zhao

Australia was second in 3:16.69 and Canada third in 3:17.34.
