Brooks Curry Announces Move to Cal Training Group

Olympic gold medalist Brooks Curry is heading further west.

After becoming an NCAA champion at LSU, the sprint freestyle specialist announced he was moving to Cal to join the pro training group with the Golden Bears.

Curry posted on social media that he was making the move and now has arrived in Berkeley.

“Different view now … Magnolias>Redwoods. Very grateful and excited to be training with and representing @calmenswim. Let’s go,” Brooks Curry posted on Instagram.

This year at NCAAs, Brooks Curry placed fourth in the 50-free (18.76), fourth in the 200-free (1:31.30; school record) and fifth in the 100-free (41.03) t0 earn three first-team All-American honors.

He LSU’s swimming national titles with a win in the 50-free and 100-free at the 2022 NCAA Championships.

He qualified for the Tokyo Olympics as part of the 4×100 free relay for the U.S.
