I have some exciting news to share: Today EventMB became Skift Meetings.

That’s right, the best event industry coverage is now even better. Don’t worry, we’ll still be covering all the content you know and love – just under a new name, with even more coverage opportunities.

Why

You may be wondering why we are rebranding – and why now. Let us explain …

Since Skift acquired EventMB in 2019, we have witnessed a dramatic shift in the event industry. Throughout this time, EventMB has been a valuable resource, a trustworthy brand that guided event professionals all around the world.

We are now entering a new era of business. An era where meetings, events, technology and travel all play leading roles in defining and instilling organizational – and indeed industry – culture. An era where innovation and adaptability is more important than ever. An era sure to be filled with uncertainty where we must find new ways to thrive, regardless of the challenges that lie ahead.

Evolving into Skift Meetings empowers and emboldens us to inform, intrigue and inspire the meeting professionals who will lead the way in defining corporate culture and leading organizational change, AND draw on the larger Skift resources on editorial, research, marketing, sales, tech and more, to enable all of the above.

What Changes

Change is all about transformation, and transforming for better. With this in mind, our rebrand means we will strive for even greater journalistic excellence while providing pivotal insights for all meeting professionals.

Being more closely connected with Skift and all of its stakeholders means that we are connected to a much larger global audience of travel executives. This closer connection not only gives a larger reach but allows us to interact across sectors, which is a perfect match for a horizontal industry like meetings. This will allow us to look far beyond the meetings industry and breathe fresh air into the space.

We will also be able to collaborate more closely with Skift’s extended team of Skift Research, Airline Weekly and Daily Lodging Report to dive deeper and extract even more insights.

What Stays the Same

Some things shouldn’t change, including the very heart of what we do. We will continue to focus on innovation and technology in the meetings and event industry. Our unique and thought-provoking content will continue to be produced by a small, approachable team.

We will continue to nurture our relationships with all industry players, from planners, designers and strategists to destination marketers, venue leaders and event tech vendors. Everyone who is involved in delivering inspirational gatherings will continue to find valuable content on our site.
