The teaser for Christopher Nolan’s eagerly anticipated biographical drama “Oppenheimer” is here. The footage hit the Internet on July 28 after first screening in theaters alongside Jordan Peele’s “Nope.” Based on the Pulitzer Prize-winning 2005 biography “American Prometheus: The Triumph and Tragedy of J. Robert Oppenheimer,” the movie centers on the life of the titular physicist, who developed the first nuclear weapon. In the chilling teaser, someone calls him “the most important man who ever lived,” while another voice warns, “You gave them the power to destroy themselves.”
